Doubled ROAS without doubling spend.
Rebuilt the audience structure and added weekly video creative tests.
ROAS, up from 2.23×
Dead Soxy came to us with ads that were spending but not scaling. A new targeting structure and a video creative refresh doubled the brand's return.
The account was stuck in a cycle of rising CPMs and fatigued creative. Return on spend sat at 2.23×, which left almost no room to scale.
- 1Rebuilt audience structure to separate prospecting from retargeting cleanly.
- 2Introduced video creative and a weekly testing cadence.
- 3Reallocated budget daily toward winning ad sets.
Who Dead Soxy is
Dead Soxy is a direct to consumer apparel brand that sells online. When the brand came to us the ads were spending every day but not scaling. Return on ad spend sat at 2.23x, CPMs kept climbing, and the same creative had run long enough that the audience had stopped looking at it.
What was actually wrong
Two things, and they fed each other. The audience structure mixed new people and past visitors, so it was hard to see which part of the spend was finding new customers. And the creative was fatigued, so every week the same budget bought a little less attention.
At 2.23x there is almost no room to scale. Spend more and the return drops further, so the account just sits there costing money.
What we changed
We rebuilt the account so prospecting and retargeting were separate, each with its own budget and its own creative. We introduced video creative and set a weekly testing rhythm, so a fresh round of ads went in every week and the losers came out.
Then we moved budget every day toward the ad sets that were winning instead of leaving it spread evenly. None of this is exotic. It is the housekeeping most accounts skip because nobody owns it.
The result
Return on ad spend went from 2.23x to 4.64x, more than double, without doubling the budget. $2,271 of ad spend brought in $7,508 in revenue.
If your account is stuck in the same loop of rising costs and tired ads, the fix usually starts in the same two places: structure and creative. That is what I look at first in every free ad audit.
