I run Robbp Media, a paid media agency in Los Angeles, and Google Ads is the channel where I see the most money wasted quietly. Social ads fail loudly: the creative flops and everyone can see it. Search ads fail in the background, a few dollars at a time, on searches that were never going to buy. Most accounts I audit are not broken. They are leaking, and nobody has looked at the search terms report in months.
If you are looking for a PPC agency in Los Angeles or a Google Ads agency to take over an account that spends but does not seem to pay back, this page covers what we run, how we fix a leaking account, how we report, who we are a fit for and the questions people ask before they hand over access. Google Ads sits alongside our paid social agency work, and for most of our clients the two channels work together.
What we run
We manage the four parts of Google Ads that make money for the businesses we work with. Search is the core: text ads on the queries your buyers type when they are ready to act. Shopping puts your products, prices and photos in front of people searching for them, and it lives or dies on the quality of your Merchant Center feed. Performance Max spreads one budget across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display and Maps, and it works well once the conversion data feeding it is clean. YouTube is the fourth, used for retargeting and for brands with video worth showing.
We do not start with all four. We start with the one closest to a sale, prove it, and add the next only when the first is paying back.
How we fix a leaking account
Every account we take on goes through the same order of work, because the order matters more than any single trick.
First, conversion tracking. If Google is counting the wrong things as conversions, every automated bid it makes is optimising toward the wrong goal. We check what is being tracked, whether it fires once or five times, and whether it matches real leads or real revenue. This is where most of the hidden waste starts.
Second, search terms. We read the actual searches your ads showed for, not just the keywords you chose, and build negative keyword lists so you stop paying for people looking for jobs, free versions, competitors or a different service entirely. We repeat this review every two weeks, because new waste appears every month.
Third, structure. Campaigns get grouped by what they sell and what margin they carry, so budget can follow profit rather than spreading evenly across everything.
Fourth, ads and landing pages. We test ad copy against the page it sends people to, because a strong ad pointing at a weak page just buys expensive bounces. If the landing page is the problem, our landing page team fixes that too.
Only then do we raise budget, and only on the campaigns that are hitting the target we agreed.
How we report
You get one number that matters to your business, agreed before we spend anything. For ecommerce that is return on ad spend. For service businesses it is cost per lead or cost per booked consultation. Every report leads with that number, what moved it and what we are changing next. Everything runs in your own Google Ads account, so the data and the history are yours whether you stay with us or not.
Proof, and what we will not claim
The clearest example of where Google fits is Posh Peanut. The brand started as an Etsy shop and grew from $193K in revenue in year one to $41M in year six. Paid social on Meta moved buyers onto the brand's own store first, and then we expanded into Google, TikTok and YouTube as each channel proved it could pay back. That order, social first and search added once demand exists, is the pattern I recommend to most ecommerce brands.
I will not put a Google-only ROAS figure on this page that I cannot show you in an account. When we audit yours, you will see real numbers from your own data, and that is the only comparison that matters. You can see the rest of our results on the case studies page.
Who this is for
Google Ads works best when people already search for what you sell. That covers ecommerce brands with products people look for by name or type, medical and aesthetics practices where patients search for a treatment and a city, and local service businesses where the search is "near me" or a neighbourhood. It works less well for a brand new product category nobody searches for yet. In that case, paid social builds the demand first.
We take on accounts spending at least $2,000 a month on ads. Below that, there is not enough data for the bidding to learn, and your money is better spent on getting the basics right yourself.
How to start
Start with a free audit. Send us read access to your Google Ads account and we will tell you where the money is going, which searches are wasting it, whether your conversion tracking can be trusted and what we would change first. You keep the findings whether you hire us or not.
Questions people ask
What does a PPC agency in Los Angeles do?
A PPC agency builds and manages pay-per-click campaigns, mostly on Google Ads, so you only pay when someone clicks. The useful part is not launching the ads but the ongoing work: cleaning the search terms, testing ads and landing pages, and moving budget toward the campaigns that make money.
How much should I spend on Google Ads?
We take on accounts spending at least $2,000 a month, because below that the automated bidding does not get enough data to learn. The right budget for you depends on how much a customer is worth and what a click costs in your category, which is something we work out together in the audit.
How long before Google Ads works?
Search campaigns start getting clicks within days, but expect the first few weeks to be about learning and cutting waste. Most of the improvement in an existing account comes from fixing tracking and negative keywords, which shows up within the first month or two.
Do I keep my Google Ads account?
Yes. We work inside your own account, so the campaigns, the data and the history stay yours. If you ever stop working with us, nothing disappears.
Should I run Google Ads or social ads?
If people already search for what you sell, Google Ads catches them at the moment they are ready to buy. If they do not know they need it yet, social ads create that demand. Most of our clients run both, with social building interest and search capturing it.
Do you offer a free Google Ads audit?
Yes. Send us read access to your account and we will show you where the money is leaking and what we would fix first, free.
